I had a new drone to test, and didn’t want to interfere with the flow of a group ride, so instead just two of us went out and did a bit of stop/start riding around the West. Took a short clip here, and a short clip there. And captured some ok footage.
I’m not comfortable with letting the drone follow me yet so all the footage here is of a good friend who humoured me for the day and let the camera follow him around.
The drone is a DJI Mavic Air 2 and has some nice features like ‘Active track’ that follows you, and APAS that can ‘see’ and avoid certain obstacles at normal speeds. As I’m very new to drones and have never actually flown on before, or even seen one in the flesh until this week, I just flew it myself and tried to keep the camera pointed generally in the right direction.
It’s not professional quality great, but I am only learning, so bear with me while I get the hang of this.
