So, after busting my wheel bearings recently, it looked like I wasn’t going to make it to this years Paddy Dakar.
But then. At the last minute. . a rear wheel belonging to a CRF250R became available. Ok, so its a 19″ instead of 18″ but the axle and spacers all fit, so, why not?
A bit of hasty loading, a quickly arranged loan of a trailer, a cracked phone screen, the fastest wheel change you have ever seen .. and thunderbirds were go!!
Made it there for 1am, had a couple of ‘welcome to Doon’ Guinness’ and all worked out very well in the end.
