Fork Service Time

It’s been nearly a year since the last fork service, so it’s time for a refresh. The TE300 and EXC500 both use the WP 4CS forks, and despite almost universal global hatred of the 4CS, I don’t find them too bad. Although having ridden normal open cartridge forks on Betas and KTMs in the past, I can say I probably prefer the plusher action of conventional open cartridge forks,

Regardless of what fork you got, it’s not a bad idea to learn how to service them.

The used oil on the left doesn’t look too bad for 50 hours use, but it’s cloudy and you can see visible sediment. The jug on the right is the new oil.

Seeing as I was at it anyway, I figured I’d keep going at the Beta too..

So the wee EVO 250 got hers done too.. jesus the garage is a mess.

I would’ve gone onto the Husky too, but I ran out of oil and seals. There’s always next week I suppose.
