It seems everyone you talk to is running different tyres and pressures, and everyone has an opinion on what works best. What they really should be saying though, is what works best for them. A tyre that works well in dry sand might not do […]
The run that very very nearly didn’t happen!! Between the solo recce on Friday, and the actual run on Monday, some bike issues were discovered. The rear of the airbox had separated from the left subframe rail. Rear wheel bearings on brake side were goosed. […]
Road trip time!! After spending a couple of days in Vancouver, attending the Fringe Fest on Granville Is. and basically getting my bearings and adjusting to local time, I flew to Calgary, picked up a one way car rental and set out with my cold […]

Out in exploring the trails again. Super day for it. Dressed fashionably and all :o) Took the cycling bike to Dromore another day to test those new etrex maps, they seem to work really well so happy with that result too.
Garmins eTrex10 is the cheapest and simplest of the eTrex series. It has a black and white screen that I think is easier to see in daylight and has less clutter than it’s more expensive colour siblings, but it also has the obvious disadvantage of […]
Early start today for the Easter LDNT spin.
Ever had a wheel bearing failure? You get that metal on metal knocking from the back wheel, and it kinda ruins your day, right.. Seeing as I’ve had a number of ruined days, these days I consider wheel bearings as a consumable, a service item, […]
